Sturdy Skateboard Review

When you are looking for a skateboard there are different things that each individual looks for specifically when looking at a new board.  A skateboard review can help you with choosing the right skateboard depending on the type of riding you want to do or the materials a skateboard is made from.  There are plenty of brands out there and no matter your level of experience it always helps to hear what others have to say about a particular skateboard when making your choice.  Once you can identify what makes a good skateboard you can start reading skateboard reviews by pros and finding the best decks, wheels, and trucks in town.

You will probably find that in any good skateboard review a specific brand is recommended; it is best to buy a skateboard that has been made by an established skateboard company.  Wooden decks often get good skateboard reviews because of the ‘give’ or responsiveness when you are performing tricks.  You also want to make sure that the trucks and wheels are made from good materials to avoid unnecessary accidents.  If you plan on doing high level skateboarding that involves a lot of ramp tricks then a skateboard that is meant for beginners is not for you.

One of the brands that manufacture good quality skateboards for beginners is Skate One, specifically the skateboard designed by Andy MacDonald.  The size and the hardness of your skateboard wheels are what matters when you are looking at the skateboard reviews; you want wheels that will last.  The type of board you have will also influence the type of wheels you have, for example long board wheels differ from wheels on a board you would use in a skate park.  If you are an all around skater then you might want to look for a different skateboard review that is more versatile.

Most skateboard reviews will also talk about the trucks on a skateboard; trucks influence the stability of a skateboard.  Start out with a skateboard designed for the beginner so that you can get a feel for what you want in your next skateboard once you have picked up some experience.  With a little practice you will soon see what type of skateboard you would be more comfortable riding in the future.  Once you have looked around you will be able to make the right choice and find the right skateboard for you.
