Security was tight, so I couldn’t get any closer to the action than this. This is the best of all the footage I shot at the 2008 X-Games Men’s Skateboard Prelims (the session to see who moves on to the actual contest) in LA, California. Skaters include Paul Rodriguez, Corey Duffel, Jereme Rogers, Billy Marks, Ryan Sheckler, Johnny Layton, Greg Lutzka, Nyjah Huston, Darrell Stanton, and a few others. Stevie Williams and Dave Duncan were up in the booth commentating on the action, which you can see at the beginning of the film. There were a few other guys like Koston finishing their session when I showed up. Unfortunately I didn’t capture them on film. I met some of the pro’s and got some autographs, including Duffel (who I gave a copy of my ‘zine to and got a photo with). Later that week I met Shaun White at some random skateshop in Hollywood. In the video editing program I cut the video where I wanted it to be slowed down, then used the speed effect to reduce it making it slow-mo.
oh right do you have windows movie maker or imovie? or other?
